A while back I went on a rampage of registering domain names incorporating the emerging technology of holography. Needless to say, I have been a huge fan of science fiction for along time. I was 9 years old when Star Trek TNG came out and I would have to say that idea of a 'holodeck' was very intriguing to me at the time (it still is). Thus, when the '3D' explosion arrived a few years back, I discovered that virtually all of the marketable domain names involving 3D were acquired by entrepreneurs and businesses long before I tried to register them.
I did on the other hand have some success with some 'holo' names that may prove one day to be a wise investment. It seems that more and more featured articles on websites like Wired.com and TrendHunter.com feature this emerging technology that will hopefully bridge the gap between my favorite television show of all-time and modern-day reality.
